![]() To and to the aggravation, in December I began receiving multiple solicitation phone calls, requesting that I increase my subscription to from Sundays to 7-days a week. On January 3rd, I contacted your Customer Service Department for 3rd time to request that my subscription be cancelled completely.Ģ.ğrom mid-November until early January I received the Dayton Daily News 7 days a week. On December 15th, I contacted for the 2nd time to request that my subscription be reduce from 7-day to Sunday only.the 7-day service continued. In mid-November of 2022, I contacted your Customer Service Department and requested that my subscription be reduce from 7-day to Sunday only. SUBJECT: Cancelation of Service and Inadequate Customer Service I expect that my credit card is not kept on file at any time going forward. That includes providing customers with supervisors' names and phone numbers. Also, customers should be able to contact supervisors direct. Is DDN truly customer service oriented? Does DDN truly care about its customers? Is DDN interested in retaining its subscribers? If so, customers' wishes to not have their credit cards kept on file should be honored and respected. I told ****** that was poor customer service and that I will be filing a BBB complaint. She told me that other than his first name - ****, she could not give me that information. Not wanting to waste time and energy playing phone tag with the supervisor, I asked ****** for her supervisor's name and phone number. She told me she could have the supervisor call me. I asked to speak with ******'s supervisor. ****** told me that she could not provide me with that information. I asked to speak with the publisher of the DDN. Customer service representative ****** told me that it is required that a credit card is on file for digital subscriptions. During the week of May 14, 2023, I called DDN. I do not appreciate being told that my credit card information was removed when it wasn't. In the meantime, my card was charged for my subscription. During the last several weeks, I received multiple letters via postal mail informing me that my credit card will expire soon. ![]() I was assured that my credit card was removed from the system. That includes asking businesses like DDN to not keep my card on file. I am trying to protect my credit card from hackers and illegitimate charges as much as possible. ![]() After I subscribed for a digital subscription to the Dayton Daily News (DDN), I asked that my credit card information be removed from their system. ![]()
